Typical Duties:  

An Implementation Consultant – Hotel Systems is specifically responsible for the installation, education and project management of the Hotel Systems product suite (V6, V7, V8 and Opera) and associated interfaces in your region.

  • Responsible for managing project timelines for Hotel Systems product suite installations.
  • Install and configure Hotel Systems product suite.
  • Train the application software with a demonstrated understanding of current hotel management techniques.
  • Impart specific knowledge related to major account modules, such as proprietary central reservation systems e.g. Holidex.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to the latest training and installation standards and procedures.
  • Work with the Clarify global support system and 2nd level support on client issues or requests for enhancements.
  • Work with the Product Manager & Support Consultants to ensure service level requirements are exceeded.
  • Obtain and retain certification in: Major Account accreditation, Current application version, Necessary SQL, Oracle and technical skills
    Active participation in education and collaboration forums.
  • Participate in quality assurance of new product and/or version release software when required.
  • Submit timely and accurate project status and other required reporting via current communication method.
Qualifications:  

Essential:

  • Minimum two years experience installing/configuring/training PMS products.
  • Or Minimum two years management experience working with a PMS system including rooms, front office and financial procedures.
  • Tertiary education.
  • Excellent written & spoken English.

Desirable:

  • Previous training experience in the area of theoretical/conceptual training.
  • Knowledge of manual Front Office Management procedures.
  • Knowledge of Fidelio PMS or S&C an advantage.
  • Familiarity with current Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, Oracle and SQL.
  • Basic working knowledge of Networks, PC’s and troubleshooting installation issues
